Professionally Graded (Slabbed) Comic Books
- Grading comic books, while not rocket science, is important in that the value of a comic book, like any collectible, can be dramatically impacted by its condition. The professionally graded comic books (often referred to as "slabbed" books) for sale on this site have been graded by the Comic Guarantee Corporation (CGC) or one of the other professional comic book grading services. These companies use their own grading systems developed by their own companies. For more details on their methods, please contact them directly.
- The photographs of slabbed comic books for sale on this site are of the actual items for sale. In most cases we present at least two photos, usually of the front and back overs of the comic.
Unslabbed Comic Books
- We assign a specific grade or grade range to the unslabbed comic books offered for sale on this website. For these comic books we have used The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide to determine conditions. While we do not assign grades in a "point" system (i.e. 1.0, 7.5, 9.8, etc.), we assign grade ranges (good, very good, fine, very fine, near mint, mint) with their corresponding letter grade (G, VG, F, VF, NM, M). For instance, VF represents everything from VF- to VF to VF+, and NM represents everything from NM- to NM to NM+.
- While the grades assigned to the unslabbed items for sale on this website are specific to those items, the images may only be representative of the item and may not be a photo of the actual item for sale.
- When an actual image is shown for an item, the item will have the words "Actual Photos Shown" in the item description and will, in most cases, have an image of the front and back covers, and possibly of interior pages if applicable.
